Owners’ Counsel of America Presents IJ’s Berliner with Annual Award

On January 12, 2002, IJ Senior Attorney Dana Berliner received the annual award from the Owners’ Counsel of America for her effective advocacy of property rights. The Owners’ Counsel is an organization of eminent domain attorneys across the country who represent owners in protecting their property rights and securing proper compensation if their property is condemned. Dana is an honorary member of the Owners’ Counsel, which meets each year after the annual American Law Institute-American Bar Association conference on eminent domain. Dana spoke at the conference about recent court cases ruling in favor of owners fighting the condemnation of their property for private parties.
